The Venture

WHO WE ARE

At Cityscape Ventures, we build commercial and residential projects, as well as strong connections to the communities we serve.

Headquartered in Atlanta, GA, Cityscape Ventures is a real estate development and investment company. We produce commercial and residential projects in cities and communities across the southeast U.S.

As an African American led company, we strive to do our part to address inequality gaps that exist in our society. We build healthy and sustainable communities, while at the same time, creating job opportunities and increasing homeownership in traditionally underserved areas.

Our Mission

The Mission of Cityscape Ventures is to positively impact our communities with our projects. We specifically focus on areas that are underserved located in low-to-moderate income census tracts.

We believe in regeneration, not gentrification. That’s why we use conscious capital to ensure the communities we build and the projects we manage will increase the standard of living, not the cost of living.

Social Impact

At Cityscape Ventures, we have a strong commitment to social impact, equality, and inclusion.

It is important for our company to address the inequality gaps that exist in our society. That’s why we focus on projects that create jobs, support entrepreneurship, and improve homeownership in underserved communities.

In addition, we know the importance of being a role model and experienced partner to Disadvantaged, Minority, and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise programs (DBE/MBE/WBE). Our existing strategic partnerships include larger, well known and established firms as well as younger start-ups.

We believe doing good, while doing well financially, is just good business and positively impacts the entire community.

Our Partners

Robb Jones

Of course Robb Jones knows how to build a successful business. Both of his parents were entrepreneurs.

Soon after graduating from Morehouse College, Robb co-founded a company that designed, manufactured and marketed high-end fashion and apparel.

By the time he earned his MBA from Clark Atlanta University, Robb had founded two more successful enterprises.

That’s when he co-founded JLW Homes & Communities, an intown homebuilding company, and immersed himself in real estate development for the next 20 years.

At Cityscape, Robb leads overall operation of our homebuilding and development platform, as well as a network of master builders, architects, urban planners, engineers and sales/marketing firms.

Robb has also held seats on the Boards of several nonprofits, including Park Pride, Georgia Conservation Voters, and the Atlanta Beltline (TADAC).

Ralph Cook, Jr.

Ralph Cook started out following in his father’s footsteps, with a career in the public sector.

While a student at Morehouse College, Ralph was a congressional aide to U.S. Representative Earl Hilliard (D-AL) and served in the White House during the Clinton Administration within the Office of Cabinet Affairs under Thurgood Marshall, Jr.

Ralph is also a member of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta, the Sister Accord Foundation, sits on the Oxford College Board of Counselors at Emory University, and is a Member of the Urban Land Institute Atlanta Capital Markets Council.

Soon after that, Ralph founded HPG Real Estate Consulting, leveraging his expertise in government, to create partnerships between public and private entities to develop large-scale community-driven projects.

At Cityscape, Ralph brings the same public-private partnerships acumen to develop real estate projects that impact social change.

He manages the firm’s financial health and fiscal initiatives and has consistently exceeded our annual financial projections and operational goals.
